Default Ai Yori Aoshi

Ai Yori Aoshi

The feel!
I completely fell in love with the series from the first two episodes. Kaoru and Aoi are impossible not to fall in love with. The characters represent a true love impossible to deny and done in a way that doesn’t wave a flag over your head forcing you to believe it. Instead, it brings the sense of love through a comer demure. Creating a foundation with “The-Heart-Grown-Founder” situation in the very beginning and moving through the series with “I-Want-To-Know-All-About-You.” Strange, but unlike other romance series (except a few moments of doubt) the main characters love for each other isn’t really in question; only how and what they’ll have to go through to get there – and they go through quite a bit.

Why I liked it!
This is a love story (though with a throw you into the middle of it beginning) that doesn’t try to rush you through the series. It tries, to a certain success, to develop the world of Kaoru and Aoi by slowly developing the characters. By there actions, past actions, and depth of character we grow to see the obvious truth – these two belong together.

Grips!
Like most TV series you have to have a certain amount of FLUFF to fill in until the final dramatic episodes. So, the show does take a few side roads on the way to find out more about our main characters. This is not the biggest grip, but once you meet Kaoru and Aoi you really want to know more about what’s going to happen to them; and not what crazy things their friends are up to.

Music:
I added this part just to say I really liked the music in this particular anime. It is one of the few anime songs that I wouldn’t mind having on my Ipod (If I had an Ipod).

Last call!
I would have to recommend this anime. It is fun, dramatic, and really gives you a reason to watch the next episode; and, unlike other animes, you’ll be rewarded when you get to that final episode. I don’t think I’ve ever had an anime series end so well.

Special rewards!
This series gets the YorZephyr “Multi-Viewing Reward!” There are those anime series that you enjoy to the extent that we revisit them over and over again (so much so, that we run out and read the manga). This is one of those animes.

Hmmm. I watched the first 5 or so episodes in both subs and dubs. Both of them I disliked the voice acting. And Secondly, what's up with that wierd eco the show has when some speeks? It's like they recorded the voices in a tunnel or something. I couldn't stand it. Ut probably would have been a good anime for me but some things I just can't tolerate.

Huh, so you could hear the echo too? Yeah it really messes it up but despite that I thought it was awesome, and I'll start on the second season soon.

What, there was an echo? I didn't even notice. Or maybe I did but I didn't really care and forgot about it.

I don't wish to be everything to everyone, but I would like to be something to someone.
