Well 2007-2008 were the best years of this forum, afterwards it kinda went downhill imo

Chunk, you are probably right. And it's not because of dislike for the site and stuff but passing fads and level of devotion. The people who stick around for weeks/months/years are really devoted to anime, perhaps even otakus. The rest are just in a transitional phase most likely. That's what I've found with a few of my friends. They'll pop onto forums like these for a couple of months and keep chatting with me about it...then get tired of whatever it was they were doing and never revisit the same forum.

Hmm... When I first started anime, I used all my spare time on it, but now I barely even watch the ongoing ones. But I still feel like visiting this place once a day or more

Yeah, the old times were so... AWESOME... i remember 2008 it was so nice xD Everyone was having fun like 20 posts in one minute and so on
